Volkswagen Polo: Design And Styling!

India is a market teeming with small cars. The small-car trend that was started by Maruti 800 is not being carried forward by a range of small cars, not just from Maruti, but now even from other major car manufacturers like Volkswagen, Ford, Hyundai and Honda. What was predominantly a market monopolized by Maruti in India a few years back is now being given tough competition by makers of so-called sedans and SUV’s.

The first thing that stands out when looking at a car is the car’s design and styling. A lot of thought, creativity and engineering go behind designing a car. Car manufacturers are increasingly giving the customers that something extra, whether in terms of designing, style, colors, engineering or technology.

The new Volkswagen Polo is one car which comes equipped with mesmerizing design details which include, but is not limited to, stylish headlights and tail lights. Much attention has been paid to the car’s exteriors, which is both a good and a bad thing. Good, obviously, because a whole new look has been given to the Polo, which now comes armed with mature and high-end image. The car has solid, mature looks and looks like a man among the boys when it comes to the range of small cars available in the market today. Stunning head lamps and the typical Volkswagen grille add to the appeal of the car.

Also in the small car category, giving tough competition to the new Polo is the exciting new hatchback Maruti Suzuki A-Star, which not only comes with an exciting design but is also has an engineering design par excellence. The low slung grille, tail-lamps as well as the aerodynamic body of the car make A-Star a tough competitor in the small-car hatchback market.
